We offer a plastic pallet collection service in Southampton. Here at Plastic Pallets, we aim to do everything we can for the environment and to tackle the plastic crisis we have committed to environmentally friendly and sustainable operations.
Once pallets come to the end of their functional life and are no longer able to be used as pallets for shipping and storage they are collected from the owner.mWe’ll retrieve these pallets and have them recycled where they will be ground down into granules for the whole process to start all over again.
We offer new and used plastic pallets for Southampton customers and nationwide. Our products are incredibly strong and robust with fantastic longevity. When comparing wood, plastic pallets have superb durability. This is another factor that makes them sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Our Collection Service
Despite our base in Southampton, we collection nationwide from our customers. If you have a plastic pallet you want us to recycle, then we can take this from you to go back into our recycling systems. We can also collect pallet wrap, film packaging, buckets, drums, pots, tubs and trays from our customers.
This is then transported by us as Plastic Pallets, through an environmental licensed waste carrier. When it arrives, it is unloaded at our fully licensed site and sorted into different grades, film, rigid and colours. Depending on the material, each plastic item is dealt with differently.
Clean Plastic Pallets
- Clean plastic pallets. plastic pots, tubs and trays get granulated and stored in bulk bags.
- Bulk bags are stored in their different grades and types of materials.
- 18 tons plus per full load of bagged granules will be sold to one of our UK compounders that we work with to close the loop on plastic waste, it will be made into Non-food contact pots and tray, also water drainage systems.
Unwashed Plastic
- Plastics that needs washing i.e. Plastic Pallets, Buckets, Drums, pots and trays that have been used, we put them through our washing and granulation plant, stored in bulk bags
- Bulk bags are stored in their different grades and types of materials.
- 18 tons plus per full load of bagged granules will be sold to UK compounders and will be made into water pipe and Dulux paint pots.
Plastic Films
- Plastic films get sorted and baled into 300kg bales, then graded into 99/1, 98/2, 95/5, 90/10 and Jazz.

Bales are stored in their different grades until a full artic load of each grade is ready.

18 tons plus per full load of baled film will be sold to one of our UK film compounders that we work with to close the loop on plastic waste, it will be made into film grade again producing bags and damp proof liners for the construction industry.
